The site is a small and quiet site and caters tents and motorhomes (non electric) 2.5ton. The area offers panoramic views of Parlick Pike, Fairsnape and Forests. Set amongst the meadows of the Forest of Bowland this campsite is popular with couples and families who want a semi wild, small and quiet experience. Chipping, Garstang, Clitheroe, Longridge and Lancaster are within a short driving distance of the site. The Tolkein Trail takes you on a walking tour past Stonyhurst College where Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was schooled and where J.R.R Tolkein penned some of The Lord of The Rings. The historic Whalley Abbey and Sawley Abbey are also worth visiting. The Forest of Bowland is ripe for exploration on foot or by bike. There’s also horse riding, fishing and bird watching available.
